Implementation Methodology
Phase Two: Process Mapping
A. PowerBench II Class:
- 3 day class, conducted on-site
- Instructed by SCL using interBiz Student Guides
- PC, Windows based software training for the PowerBench II process mapping tool
- Project Manager and Project Team attendance is mandatory
B. Process Documentation Class:
- 2 day class, conducted on-site immediately following PowerBench II class
- Instructed by SCL using SCL Student Guides
- Purpose is to develop "Brown Paper" drafts of current standard operating
procedures.
- Templates for drafting procedures and examples from prior clients will be provided
- Project Manager and Project Team attendance is mandatory
C. Document Current Procedures:
- 2 to 3 weeks of Project Team effort
- Managed by an appointed Documentation Manager
- Identify and document your current standard operating procedures.
- This documentation process provides a clearly defined starting point from which to
evaluate how well suited the software's functionality is with your current business
practices.
- This documentation provides the foundation for drafting new "proposed"
procedures as a result of the system implementation (Phase 4 - Step A), preparing Pilot
Scripts (Phase 4 - Step D) and finalizing "new" procedures in PowerBench II
(Phase 7 - Step B).
- Organize documentation by module and assign responsibility to each Module Owner
- Module Owners are responsible for completion of their documentation prior to the start
of their module's formal education class (Phase 3).
